No longer will Matthew be spending his Tuesday nights behind the bench here at the shop in Shelburne, instead he has been given a great opportunity to teach an advanced Jewelry Making class at UVM!  The University of Vermont has a great Continuing Education program that offers an array of night classes, including many in the Art field.  Matthew welcomes the chance to share his passion of metalwork and jewelry making with students interested in fine tuning their already learned skills.  The class is offered on Tuesday nights from 5pm to 9pm, so apologies if Matthew is a little sleepy on Wednesday mornings :)

 The Matthew Taylor Designs family is excited to welcome it's newest member, Penelope Riley Taylor was born on June 13th, 2013.  She welcomed the world at a healthy 7-11lbs and 21".  Mom and Dad are doing well, however if Matthew seems a little bleary eyed these days, it is most likely due to the late nights with Little Penelope!

Penelope will be gracing the shop with her presence in the coming weeks, which means back to work for Mom!

Wow. Can anything make us feel better than getting great results from heads-down, finger-to-the-bone work? Ok, yes. When that work can really help to make a difference in people's lives, we feel pretty great! For the last couple of months we've been working with our friend Tracy Appleton on a very special project, and we're finally ready to show off the results.

The Buddha Love Project is beginning it's life as a series of necklaces - in either silver or gold - set with the birthstone of your choosing. Proceeds from the sale of these necklaces will go to the Cancer Patient Support emergency eund. You can find out more about this wonderful organization by heading over to their website.

It's been in the works for months, and the day is finally here - we're launching our brand-spankin-new website! We're going to spend a lot of time here - updating the site, keeping things fresh. It's going to be a home for Matthew's artistry and a place for us to showcase (and sell!) his work.
